David
First, they don't allow picture taking in the museum so I had to use a picture of the David statue that is outside in the Piazza. Second, here is what I saw. The statue is a representation of perfection. A perfect work of art and of a perfect human form. As the American girl behind me so perfectly described it - "he's hot." I don't know about all that, but I see the product of someone who has found their calling. It is a goal to which I strive. Also, I look at the sculpted human form and see it as a challenge. Are we to look, admire, and move on? Nope. I ran 5 miles along the Arno River that afternoon.
