Domesticated animals (Pigs, roosters, cows, sheep etc.) are making a huge comeback. Along with exposed brick, wallpaper, ray bans, fanny packs, non-prescription glasses and mustaches for some reason the cast from Animal Farm are experiencing a resurgence in popularity. My theory is the hipster culture, (insert your own definition here), feels as though they are represented by the domesticated animal that is confined by fences and borders yet maintains some semblance of its wild nature. Whatever. Regardless, I’m fascinated by the use of these images as I don’t much prefer them. Give me a lion silhouette or a tiger-striped abstract. I’m no rooster. Or maybe I am? No, I can’t be. Right?
